Default WW2 Reenactment Training

Hi everyone. My son is a WW2 reenactor with the 10th Armored. His unit had a training session Saturday. These are normally closed to the public. Because of some work I did on the 65th anniversary of D-Day at the Eisenhower Presidential Library, I was asked to attend this session as a photographer. Below are some images I captured. The last image had some special treatment in PP.

Thanks for viewing, have a great Monday!

Interesting shots. I like the black and white because it would have been more true to the photos that would have been taken in the day. Thanks for sharing and thank your son for honoring those that served in WWII.

Nice. I particularly like the third one. It looks like a vintage photo from the era.

I enjoyed your D day posts back in June Tom, where you introduced your son as a WW11 re-enactor.
Its a testiment to your abilty as a photographer you were invited to record these events, and just for the record, what a good job you've made of it, well done buddy.

Thank you, that was just the target at which I was aiming.

Thanks, photo shop taketh away noise and photo shop addith noise and that's a good thing. You can really make a new image look old.

Thanks Beach, it was an honor and a lot of fun. Of course it was educational too. Learned to come prepared. For instance, reenactments take place in knee high grass and weeds. Not the place to wear shorts. Thanks for your kind words.
