Red face Manhattan in black and white (first post)

Ok!
So this is my first post here.
Just came back from a trip to New York, and I just loved the city.
I believe that's the city most photographed in the world. Every corner I could see people carrying out their DSLRs! It was amazing.
I always loved b&w pics from NY, so I decided to try and make some.
Can't wait for your critiques!

If someone asked me if I would like B/W shots of NYC I would have said NO, but these are really wonderful...I love the way they make the city look and the mood they convey.

Really nice images. You did a great job of conversion on the third shot - super tonality! Welcome to DPS!

Great job... I particularly like the first image. Great combination of B&W and HDR

I'm finding the use of HDR with B&W the results are pretty amazing.
It can change an otherwise dull image to a much more dramatic one.
Even just a 1 exposure HDR, if not taken to the extreme, can give good results.
I think I'll try more of this and see what everyone thinks.
