Fun with borders...

I recently learned how to create borders with photoshop. Today, we attended the birthday party of a young lady my wife and I know. After a little fun with borders, I'm ready to post this shot. I thought it turned out quite nice.

You are so right. It did turn out very well. I very much like the angle of the pose and the way the shadow gives the photo a sense of drama. She should be very pleased when she see this portrait. Your frame is just perfect!

Happy birthday to the young lady and good job Tom, I like how you've captured her in this picture. Posed or otherwise it doesn't matter the results are excellent and suggest a reflective moment in her life. Nice lighting and excellent use of negative space.
