Default Determined to survive!

The following photograph is that of my friend's boat in the ocean. I wanted to make it look different, more like an abstract. This image was shot in the dusk using small apperture and shutter speed of 1/15sec. To make it look different, I shook the camera when releasing the shutter to create this motion blur, which I think adds to the impact. As we could see that the resulting image looks like a painting, especially the water and the boat. No image editing work done.

I like the concept but I think you might have been better off replicating the painting effect in post. The image looks a bit too blurred, especially the boat.

I get your point. I tried this the first time and like I said wanted to give it an abstract appearance.

I really like it. I can see what Roman means but something about it just really grabs me, I think it's great. And I'm impressed with the effect given it was done just with the camera. Keep it up mate!
