Default Burlesque Dancer

Hi all!

My name is Ant, and I'm very much a newbie to the fine art of digital photography. Through a fortunate series of events, I have my first serious digital SLR, a Canon Rebel XS. So, far, I am loving the camera. I used to shoot a Pentax SLR many years ago, but stopped when I got married and started being an official grown up. Now, I'm back to it, and have discovered just how much I love the process pf composing the shot, taking the shot and working in the digital darkroom to refine the shot. This is simply all kinds of fun!

Here's one of my favorite images so far. Her name is Candace, and she is a dancer at a burlesque troupe called Peaks and Pasties. This was taken at a performance they did a t a nice yet very dimly lite bar called the Underground. I hope you like it, and I hope to learn tons from you all as I slowly get better at this

Welcome to DPS. I have to say, they are awesome shots. I too am a bit like yourself... let the photography slide while I played "gown ups". I am a sucker for black and white and these pics really appeal to me. Thanks for sharing, and hope to see more of your wonderful pics.
