Default I'm just a little Unwell

Just wanted to share my next self-portrait for fifty two. This is week two for me.

week two of fifty two
I'm just a little stressed out this week. I think I managed to get the look I had pictured in my head. Let me add, this bathroom was TINY. My half-broken tripod was as far back as I could put it to get the shot, and it still could have stood to have been a little farther. No flash fired because I didn't need unwanted shadows. Even though I am still either using auto or portrait modes, I think I am getting better at this...

- Hold on... I'm feeling like I'm headed for a breakdown; I don't know why...

I hear you.
You have achieved your goal and I get the feeling I understand you. The picture is very elocuent! the light is soft and the frame well captured.
I'm not such a great fan of vignettes.
Overall is a good composition.
I'd like to see you in a happier picture, soon.
Cheers!

I love the concept, but it's a shame about the busy wallpaper in the background and the bathroom floor appears to be sloping. I'm not sure about the lighting either, it seems to highlight the floor and wall more than yourself.

I'll definitely try to get a few happy ones in later this week

The light was the bathroom lights (4 bulbs sticking out of the wall) above the mirror/sink, which was located behind me but closer to the camera. I can't really speak much about the floor, other than that it really is sloped. (Small town, cheap duplex apartment)

Fair enough, I'd just liked to have to seen the side of your head lit. I don't intend to sound negative, I do like the shot and think you've captured the 'unwell' look very well.

I like it. For me, the background and lighting is what you would find in a bathroom and kind of adds to the dreary feeling of being unwell. Looking forward to week 3 and hope you're better by then!

Oh I didn't think you were being negative at all! I just wanted to explain my situation! With the exception of the bathtub, our bathroom is like... 5'x4'.... tops... not much working space.

Thank you, and I hope maybe I'm good by week three, too. I don't know, though, baby-mama drama tends to stick around for 18-some-odd-years, yanno?
