I love this quote and it seems so apt for this photo: A bit of fragrance always clings to the hand that gives the rose. This still unfolding rose does seem to hold the promise of romance and passion even before it flames forth. Lovely in every way!

The rose is a Sitka Rose and grows wild around my yard. I don't do much with post editing but when i took the picture i could see what i wanted to do with it and so gave it a try. I'm glad it made an impression, and thanks everyone for the kind replies.
