Well I'm just totally Jealous, I have been trying to take decent pictures of birds all week but I don't have any worth sharing, these are beautiful. How did you get such clarity in the pictures, are they taken in the geat outdoors?

Thanks everyone, glad you enjoyed them. I'm having a blast photographing them. They are a real fun and beautiful subject. Sometimes they fly right up to me , just to say hello, like my little friend did
.My setup........... I'm shooting these in the back yard over a feeder. I'm sitting about 15 feet from the feeder, shooting a canon 40D , w/ canon 300 f/4 L lens + canon 1.4TC, on a tripod. Michele, the clarity is from several things..............Canon L glass---good lighting---filling the frame (birds are small, you have to get close to fill the frame and avoid overcropping). Thanks again everyone for viewing. |
