Default Africa's wildlife with myself....

When my mom, husband and I visted South Africa for the month of October 2008, we got to play with a variety of wildlife.

This a either a 4 or 5 month old lion cubs...

The paw of that lion that was hugging me...

A 2 month old tiger cubs...one was biting my butt while the other was trying to bite my neck.

and the best for last....an Elephant Kiss. While we were getting ready for the braai, the lady who runs this elephant sanctuary told us "not to worry about the kiss, that it was loaded with mud, dirt, and elephant urine,,,GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN." Personally I think if you take a plunger, roll it in vaseline and then mush in the dirt....sunction cup it to your face...YOU will have an elepant kiss. I would not trade it for the world.

Hi Angella, aren't you just the luckiest girl! I am very jealous! The big cats are my absolute favorite! I would have been in heaven for sure as it looks like you are by the huge grin from ear to ear. Thanks for sharing this fun adventure! Looks like it is something one would never forget!

Wow it looks like you had a fantastic time. I am also very jealous, I have wanted to go to South Africa for soooo long, lucky you. I had the chance to get close some young cubs years ago at a wildlife park so I know what a fun and great experence you would have had with them. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the comments....the most expensive part was the flight. We spent a month and was totally amazed about how cheap everything was. I brought $3000 US Dollars and that would have been around R30000. We only spent half of what we brought. We had only around 4 or 5 days where we weren''t on some big adventure. If you ever can afford this, definitely the best trip I have ever been on. I have a whole lot more photos on my flickr account if interested. I am still trying to weed out the mess, took somewhere around 8000 photos between all of us.

This was the most amazing adventure. I'm glad you love South Africa as much as I do.
