Default NASCAR photos from Darlington (May 2009)

Here are some photos I took at Darlington in May 2009.

I found an empty pick-up bed in the infield (to get the fence out of the pictures) and tried the panning with the cars going into the corner at 180 mph (at night). Fun stuff!

Thanks Jill .. I know the pictures are grainy .. very much a novice with photography.

I did get lucky in a few of the pictures by the getting the sunset just above the wall.

I'm not sure who's pickup truck I was standing in .. but thank you!

Good shooting! everything is tough at night, although I've never shot a race at night, but I can imagine. What was your setup?

Did you get any shots of Martin Truex? He went to school with my son and I coached him in baseball. Nice job on panning. What lens did you use? All this images are nice and sharp.

For these pictures, I was using my Nikon D90 with a Nikon 70-300 lens.

Very nice captures. Love seeing the red-hot brake rotors.
