Default Cool nephew (3 strobes and a bike!) (now with second photo)

Cool nephew Cool nephew 2.0

Was down my sisters today taking some photos of my nephew, and this was one of them (the only one ive edited so far).

used 3 strobes, one on a brolly to the right slighty infront of him (around the same lvl to), another on the left inside his chair (he has this rotating char thing that has a big white pull down cover) that i used as a second brolly effect lol and the other directly behind the bike shooting onto the wall.

This is only my second time shooting with 3 strobes, im still trying to get used to it all (hell still getting used to one lol). But its fun and that's the main thing

i then took -3 -2 -1 0 +1 +2 +3 ev copys of it and tone mapped then overlayed the origonal ontop at around 35%, some healing and darkend the shades later and what you see is what i got

*edit* added a new photo to the right of the old one, just to share a little more.. This photo was using one strobe/brolly and was under exposed around 2-3 stops. Selective lighting/darkening and desaturate was all that was done as well as blur the brolly reflection on the right lens and add one to the left.

it was muti exposures created from the 1 raw file, i then used photomatrix to join them into a tone mapped version of the image wich i then used along with the original image to get the look.

here's the original
bike small.jpg

here's the tonemapped one (done after i darkened his glass's)
bikesmallhdr.jpg

as u can see the tonemapped one lookes way over saturated but it was a nice higher detailed/lightend version to use as a background to mix with the normal photo for a more subtle effect

*edit*
Added original of the new picture i added to.
