I shots these off my balconey the other night, while trying to get a feel for my circular polarizer. These are typical skies in my neck of the woods, but I thought they turned out alright. Thanks for looking!

Polarizers cut down on the extra light that enters your lens, and can clear up alot of "haze" in your shots (in certain situations). They also reduce the reflections on water, making it possible to photograph rocks, fish, etc.
Here's a link to some basic polarizer info here on DPS - How to Use and Buy Polarizing Filters

Very nicely done... great details.
As a side note, glad to see someone from my hometown on DPS. You should have all kinds of fun stuff to shoot around there. Ever heard of Red Rock Coulee (out by Seven Persons)... there's some really cool rock formations out there that I'd personally love to capture. Looking forward to seeing more.
