This is one of my favorite places - Myakka River State Park. A beautiful river, lovely woods, fishing, nature trails, treetop walk, birds, and GATORS!
Lazy River ![]() From the birdwalk During the summer this entire area is flooded with the river. You can still walk the birdwalk, but there are lots of gators swimming around it - and there are no real railings. But in the spring - it's a bird's delight! ![]() Lone kayaker But he'd better not tip over! ![]() And here is why!

Whoa, you had me till you said gators! I'm thinkin' that itty-bitty boat is a little on the small size in shot three. I think a Fast Frigate would be small enough!

These are great. In #3 I swear the person in the boat is looking right at a gator coming towards them from the shore. I think I will pass on this little adventure. Beautiful to look at from my computer desk!

Now I kind of enjoy them - at a reasonable distance, of course!

I don't think I'd be in there, boat or not. Great shots.
