Default Saab

This is my first post with material from the photowalk in Tel-Aviv (18-07-09).
This is a collectible Saab which was parking in a somehow runned down neighborhood.
It was a surprize to find such a car in such a place.
I never took pictures of a car like this before, This was such a good model that I could not skip it. Please let me know your thoughts about it.

Enjoy!

I did some digging and I found out the this is a SAAB 96 from 1965.
The Saab 96 was in its days renowned for its rallye driving capabilities.
The Saab 96, featuring a new 841cc, 38hp three-cylinder two-stroke, was well received and proved popular. Capacity was increased to 50,000 units and the popular 96 opened up new markets for Saab.

Saab's are known for their handling here also. A friend of mine owned one a few years ago and if I remember correctly it was a pretty quick also.

Nice shots. I think you did well. Love the framing on the first and the last one is excellent. I like all the bits and pieces together.

A rare find to see one of those in such good condition just sitting out on the street. I like the angle of the first one and the collage in the last. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad I got to see it!

A car like that in a color like that really stands out.
I also like the #1. Thanks for your nice comments!

Hi Hayward,
The car is a collectible item, judging from the "special" plates. Carring those special plates means that all parts are original and the car runs like new!
I'm glad you enjoyed the composition. I'm always trying to find new ways toi frame old things. Most of the time that doesn't work for me. I keep trying...

I think that this is a great find. That bright yellow all but screams at you to be looked at. I have never seen an old model like this and for that matter it is a rarity to see them at all around here even though we have a SAAB dealer just down the road. Also enjoyed rocgnizing some of the Hebrew alphabet that I learned in a course in High School....I know that it reads from right to left and I still can recite the letters by heart....Looks like there is an aleph, a bet, a nun, a dalet in the mix?
