Default Cold Medicine Perspective

I have a cold, I seem to get one every summer about this time..I usually miss the one around the holidays everyone else gets... but summer colds stink.. Tylenol makes wonderful liquid cold medicine that surpresses the cold and puts things in a different light so to speak.

having spent yestersay my whole beautiful saturday day-off mostly indoors resting, I decided to go out today, if I can work sick, I can shoot sick !

however, I wouldn't say today was one of my better days, I lacked energy and motivation, I couldn't hike in the heat, so I just went to some good old favorites.

The Swan family all together ( same cygnets you've been seeing since 2 weeks old )
they are filling out and getting big , this is really not up to par with my standard ,but I'm sharing it anyway cause it's a family shot

a small duck family has moved in across the river, these ducklings have hatched a full month after another green tip teal brood I've captured , they are already excellent swimmers to be out in the river's current.

I always pay the "close to the parking lot " Osprey's a visit, I just couldn't make the walk to the better more active sites.. but Junior provided me with a nice pose..

something about the background that's bothering me.. just I can't put my finger on it, maybe in a few days I'll take another look at the raw shot again.. I was telling him " pretty bird " while I was shooting ( I must be going crazy talking to the wildlife ) I'm glad noone heard me !

and then, when I was downloading, I saw this ... I have no idea how it happened, but it's strange and cool .. no pp at all

IMG_5347

I'm glad I went, but I probably shouldn't have been driving, and I havn't taken a step backward in a while, I'm not crazy about the days results, but it's cool, least I got up and got out for fresh air ..not letting the cold keep me down.

thanks for taking a look !

Vin

You seem to have done good despite having medicine head That last shot is quite interesting ... to bad you have no idea how it happened.

Now this talking to wildlife thing .... do you think they understand you ?? If so, perhaps you should go a bit easier on the cold medicine!!

Seriously, I hope that you feel better very soon !

Hey Vin, Sorry you're not feeling well....I can take most anything better than a cold. On your third shot...do you think it's just that the background seems just a little busy so that the bird seems to blend in rather than stand out? It's a great shot...awesome looking bird. Thanks for the update on the cygnets. On that last shot...I'm thinking that's some pretty potent cold medicine and that's when it kicked in...lol

I too avoided a cold all winter only to have one pop out of no where this week. I feel your aggravation! However, I didn't take too many pictures under the influence of cold medicine- I mostly gave in to the grogginess and tried to sleep it off. I'm feeling loads better, so hopefully you will be soon too!

I know how you feel all too well. It was not that long ago you were sending me well wishes from my summer cold. I am so sorry you got one also. Summer colds really stink! I am glad it is not keeping you down. Some fresh air will do you good and the pics did me good! These are all very good. I love the Osprey, he did pose for you! So nice of him! The swans and ducks never get old, I just love them! That last one is just wicked, pretty neat no matter how or why it happened. Take care my friend better days are just ahead!

Oh, summer colds are the absolute worst, I would almost rather endure anything else. Your shots are not suffering for it though, very nice. Shot #3, I think that the tree in the background is somehow too busy and distracting, it sort of makes my eyes swim a bit, and I swear I'm not on any meds, LOL, takes the focus away from the bird. Hope your feeling better.

#1 with the swan family is wonderul. Must be magnificient to watch them grow up and fill out. Must be a feat just getting them all in one shot so glad you posted it even if you feel its not up to your usual.

#3 So majestic. Well I sppoe you charmed him with your well spoken words and he posed for you nicley. Don't worry about speaking to the birds my mom speaks to her plants nevermind.

Hope your better soon!

Even under the weather, you still produce, Vin! I love the one of the ducks and the osprey. But you're right...something about the BG is not quite right and I can't figure it out, either...but I'll forgive you, because he is in perfect focus! LOL at you talking to the wildlife!

Hope you're feeling better, soon. Both my husband and Victoria have colds, too. Summer colds are miserable!
