This guy was awesome, I was sitting in a Park, and saw this guy performing. He had a Diabolo, and was juggling with it, and he was simply mesmerizing. Turning, and diving with the Diabolo, he wasn't doing it for money, just for pure enjoyment. It was wonderful to watch, and he was lovely to take photos of, cause he looked like such a character.
These were taken using my friend's 70-300mm lens which I had borrowed for the afternoon. Telephoto zooms are great for candid shots ![]() Any comments or constructive criticism is welcome. This was my favourite shot of him, mainly cause I loved his hair, and the colours around him. ![]() His cigarette break, the woman in the background annoys me though. ![]() I tried taking a photo with the desaturated look.

It's understandable why you like your first shot. Art hair--now there's a new thought! I like it for the same reasons you do, especially the nice contrast with the background. Any chance you can clone the woman out of the second shot? I like the look on his face. Makes you wonder how he landed on juggling as an artistic expression. Nice shots.

Ah, I apologise. A Diabolo is an hour-glass shaped prop which is spinned and whirled on a string tied to two sticks in each hand (partially para-phrased from Wikipedia) People move the sticks up and down to spin the Diabolo, making it gain momentum. They can be thrown in the air and caught, and you can have more than one on each string. Check out some videos on YouTube to see it, cause it's hard to explain.
The white circular blur on the third photo next to his right leg is the diabolo in motion. Quote:
Thanks for the comments
