Default 7:45 (ish) gave perfect light

I went outside last night because we had our son, my 3 step-sons, and a friend's son all day & I needed a few minutes to myself. Well, I never got that few minutes, as a mommy's work is never done, nor done alone. I didn't even get one shot of myself before my friend's son ran and sat in the shot. So I took a few of him, and a few of me, and ran inside.

His came out perfect. I love the sun on his face and the warmth it provides. However, I did not get the shot of me I wanted. So I head back outside, not even 10 minutes later, and the sun is doing a totally different thing. I tried a lot of different poses, and I really wasn't happy with many of them. Here's the best I got, which will be used as my first for the 52-week project.

week one of fifty two

What a great shot of the little boy. I love that attitude you see on his face and the lighting is great too! Sorry that your didn't turn out like you wanted. I think if you could have gotten the same light as the little one,, you would have two amazing shots! Don't give up, theres always tomorrow night. Ri

Haha! Here's the very first shot I took yesterday evening.. and as you can see, I'm holding in some frustration! It wouldn't have been so bad if the kid had gotten in front of me and he was all framed up.

week one {outtake}
