I like the DOF, the colors, the ray of sun shining through and the composition......but I don't think that I would leave the yellow leaf in there. That was right where my eye went first because it was just sitting there in the green grass. But this is a great picture

I think this is a nice shot, but i'm not a big fan of turning the camera on a 45. Under the right conditions it can work very well. This is one of those conditions, unfortunately in this pic, you didn't pay attention to the background and let the houses ruin the effect. I like the composition of the shot, but the buildings in the background (on an angle) ruin it for me. Other than that, i like it alot...........keep up the good work!

Welcome to dps eddie.............looking forward to seeing more of your shots.

thanks for the suggestion! i had the aperture as low as i could get it (i think it was around 2) to try to blur the houses out of the scene. unfortunately in my backyard, there is really no good spot to shoot from that is 'house free'.

You've captures a lovely Photograph, the two things I see that would make this a better capture are removing the yellow leaf in the foreground and the leash across you Beautiful Danes nose.
Your Wife is Lovely and your perspective is pleasing. All in all a good attempt.
Thanks for Sharing this
Michael.

I agree about the leaf and the house. You can tr to PS it out. I think it can be done.

Welcome to DPS! Looking forward to seeing more. Overall, I think your picture is very good. I would echo the comments on the leaf and the house.
