Sisterhood

I never seen a girl who carries her sibling in Chennai or in any Metro (Even i have not seen parents carrying the baby like this for quite sometime now). But i used to see this in my village. We always used to carry our sibling and caring for her.. Like "My brother, my sister"..... I have seen this same behavior just few kilometers away from chennai in an urbanized village. Love to see that girl carrying the baby...

Thinking of my sister, who carried me until my age of 4... Thank you and Love you, My Sister...

Great capture my friend Karth. She looks like she posed for you. Nice to see the siblings together and caring for each other. This is a very nice photograph my friend.

Dave.

Stunning photograph. An adults responsibility yet still much of a child. Note the tongue sticking out of the side of her mouth.

A lovely shot Karthick. One doesn't look that much bigger than the other...

Nice image. Obviously you've captured something of great sentimental value to you and I've enjoyed seeing it.

I see this photo, Karth, and the song by the Hollies starts to play in my head: "He ain't Heavy, He's my brother". Your photo works on many levels, given your story that accompanies it: This girl, this sister, a record of a time when this was commonplace and a call to remember to carry one another's burdens as a personal concern. Very powerful. I join you in thanking your sister.
