Tried my hand at this prop again. I do believe my theory so far is babies don't like it. LOL! Both times I've used it, they wake up/cry/make aweful faces/etc. I'll keep using it though, I know there has to be a 'right' time to use it. I just haven't figured out when it is yet. But for now...I'll take what I can get.

Well I don't know how you got that baby to sleep at all, I couldn't even get one to sleep on their belly. Beautiful photo.

Jody! You're in my area, I've seen some of your photos that you've done for some of my fellow Asheboro Mommies! I have no idea how you keep a baby sleeping. I've yet to learn the art of newborn photography, but I think you're right! How do you get a baby to be comfortable in one of those slings?! I know I wouldn't be!

The babies might not like it, but I think it's a great prop and I love this one and the one you posted a while back. Keep on working, and I'm sure you'll find a perfect fit for it. thanks for sharing.

I thought Anne Geddes too. A creative way to capture a baby shot.

Thanks Bernz! You know, I will embarrassingly admit something to you....I had no idea who Anne Geddes was up until a couple months ago when someone said the exact same thing as you. Then I took a gander at her work. And wow! So thank you so much for the kind words.

One word......hair dryer. Ok...well, thats two words. LOL! I learned the secret hair dryer trick when my daughter was little. She would not sleep. Then someone told me about using a hair dryer as white noise to get her to go to sleep. Works like a charm!

Haha! This is really cool! Such a small world! How cool it is to come on an international site and get someone saying they've seen some of my pics and basically live one town over from me. That's awesome! And as far as baby being comfortable in that sling....I dont' think they are. That's why they always start crying and wake up. Haha!

Thanks so much! I am certainly going to keep working on it. It is absolutely my favorite prop right now. Even though I've only used it twice. LOL! I just need more babies. Come on ladies of Greensboro...I need more babies!

Thank you so much! I saw that sling on Etsy and was like "I...MUST....HAVE!!!". Haha. I just love it. Now only if the babies would love it, we'd be all set!

Jody, so good to hear from you!!!!!! I've missed you around here.

I love this photo - you did a great job with it! Haha, I can understand them not being too thrilled with it, but you definitely pulled it off. Nice work!
