Default new member/new camera

Just found your site a few weeks ago and have been cruising thru and reading tons of new info. I received my dSLR last Christmas and have been trying to learn as much as I can. Back in the spring we had a lot of flooding and I found some waterfall pic's on our local newspaper and decided I wanted to take waterfall pictures. (Or teach myself how to do it.) (After some research on waterfalls in our area, I found out that TN has 613 waterfalls in the state!) In the 2 months I've been taking pictures, we've hardly made a dent with getting to about 15 of them so far! This is the first waterfall that I shot and I'm not sure how I got so lucky, but it turned out really good. I've also learned that I will do just about anything and go just about anywhere for "a good" shot! Some of the places are definately off the beaten path!

I've got the Nikon D60 with the kit lens and I bought a 50mm because of the price. I've enjoyed learning with that lens becasue it's not an automatic. I was able take a few lightening shots the other night with it after reading "how to's" on the forum pages here. Here's one more waterfall pic...thx for all the kind words.

Another fabulous shot - you are a master at these already. You had better give us some tips on how you shot these aperture and speed, lense etc. Cheers, Bernz
