Default Class Photo/Walk

We headed out to the "Keeper Of The Plains" statue for some late evening hands on class work. It was great fun. Below are a couple of my attempts.

This image shows the bridge as it leads away from the Keeper. The Keeper itself is on a small island between the Little and Big Arkansas Rivers. (Pronounced in Kansas as R-Kansas River.) I had a little fun with hue and saturation in PP

Keeper Bridge 5_RT

This image features the Keeper and the bridge architecture.

Keeper 1

Here we have another image that received a little extra PP. This is one of the bridge supports and it's reflection.

Keeper Bridge 2

Last is an image of the Keeper as it is illuminated by the ring of fire. This ring is ignited every evening in the summer for about one hour. As you can see, the Kansas wind was present last evening.

Keeper Flame 1

Well, there you have it. I have several more on my flickr page. Drop by if you have time.
Have a great week!

Well done Wildcat! I'm partial to #3 & #4; It must be interesting taking a photography class! I'd like to do it, but being in Korea it's just not possible. Good luck with it though
Thanks for Sharing these

Your quite welcome CD. Thank you for the kind words. Have you thought about starting a photo club. I bet you have a lot to contribute as well as learn. By the way. I made several trips to Osan, South Korea while I served in the US Navy. I even spent 23 hours in Bangkok. I wish I'd had a DSLR then, but that was in 1981. Thanks again.

Thanks Patrick. The whole Keep Of The Plains area is really neat. I'll have to do a series on just that some day. The fire is great, but the wind was kind of a bummer that night.
Thanks again.

I like the colour in the first and the composition in the second (crop a little tight for me though).

Nice series
