Default Bristlecone Forrest

Bristlecone Pines are the oldest living things on planet Earth, ranging in age from 2-8,000 years old and change...and still growing and blooming every year. I had the privelege of walking amongst these Ancient Souls yesterday morning...

Living Ancients

Solitary Pine #1

Solitary Pine #2

The most naturally beautiful wood I have ever seen...

This place is amazing. If you ever find yourself driving along Highway 395 in Eastern California...this is a side trip that you will remember forever...

Thanks for looking!

A stunning range of shots. Just wish we had locations like this in the UK.

Last I knew, the final remaining stand of English Black Oak trees is still a protected stand of deadwood on your side of the pond. I'm not sure where, and it's been many years since I've heard anything about it, but...that's the last I heard. Might be just as interesting as these old trees, if you can locate more information on them...

Thanks for the comments!

Beautiful Captures! I've been there and it is amazing to see these living fossils, the last time I was there I was captivated by the silence and solitude, just a breath of breeze in the morning air. I felt humbled.
Thanks for Sharing these
