Default Waterfall - no tripod

I need a new tripod, my old one broke on way to this waterfall. This one was taken without tripod.

Probably not what you want to hear, but I believe in being honest.Nothing in your image is in sharp focus, you have cyan and blue fringing,(aka lateral chromatic aberration) white balance is off , and waterfall is a disaster-you really need a tripod and a neutral density filter. And use Cloudy white balance (6250 Kelvin) even on bright sunny days- Regards,Ken

Well just consider it a learning experience. This type of shot needs a tripod or a way to brace the camera. Since you have to get a new tripod, get a good tripod. Don't go Cheep!
A good tripod and ball head will keep you from this type of shot!
We are all here to learn

Amazing looking waterfall though, bet you could get some beautiful shots here with that new tripod you're going to buy.

Sorry about your tripod. I think you still could have composed this shot better, even without a tripod. Thanks for sharing

I had to double back, I thought that I was in the wrong forum. This is not the critique section. It is for sharing shots that members want to share without critique. Whilst the critique is maybe fair and warranted, The Great did not ask for critique and just wanted to share a shot that he liked of a lovely place. Members do get their pleasure from just sharing shots and not taking it too seriously.

Well done The Great, You may not have had a tripod, but the place you have shown us is lovely place and I am sure that this shot will be very much enhanced with your new purchase. At that point, you maybe should put it up for critique and see what happens. This is Digital Photograph School and we all have to learn and start somewhere. Gentle critique is maybe ok here, but not harsh. Sorry guys and with all respect, you maybe correct, but in my opinion, a litle unfair to a newbie especially in this forum.

Thank You for sharing this very nice place with us The Great.

Dave.

In my experience if you don't want critique, send your photo to a read-only medium - and that holds for galleries and friends' homes as well as the internet. Of course, OP didn't explicitly ask for critique, but that doesn't immediately muzzle people from venting a honest and fair opinion, right?

You are correct Jake. This is not the critique section and I will remember that in the future.
