I love Sportsters. Only bike I ever bought new was a Sportster.
Rode for 30 years, but had to give it up due to a neck injury. I still have my Jeep thou. wood-shots : photos : My Bike- powered by SmugMug |

Awsome bike, WooD. I'm 48 now, and haven't been on a bike since I was 16 (dirtbike then), so I'm getting a very late start. I'm sorry you had to give yours up. What kind of Jeep do you have? Feel free to post a shot.

Nice shot. Nice looking bike. Me, I'm into the ones with pedals.

Pedals are good, too. This is just something I've always wanted to do.

That is a ironhead motor Harley introduced it in 57 and they used it till 86.
I have never seen an ironhead sportie in that good of condition. You may want to invest in a good tool kit since the early Harleys are known for the need for wrenches. It is a labor of love and passion though. I think from what you describe the jeep to be you got the better deal. Enjoy the ride and hope to see you on the road Phil 2002 Road Glide Quote:

A good bike is better than a good jeep anyday...you win. I have been riding for over 40 years. I ride a Ninja sport bike and a monster fire-breathing KX450 Motocross bike. Have fun riding that Harley!
