Default Typical English countryside

Uphill road

I noticed the early morning sun shining down through the trees after it had rained but didn't have my camera so waited until it rained again and went back.

Windmill

My first attempt at adding 'sky' to a picture. The sky was washed out so needed a sky. Am thinking of putting this into a competition for renewable energy, is it good enough?

Well, I don't know about the contest. I have never entered one myself. I'd say go for it though. I' partial to the first one, the road looks so inviting. Nice job on both photos.

You wouldn't be so partial to the first one if you saw how steep the hill was (for Essex at least!)

I once managed as a boy to get 40mph on my speedo on my fixed gear bike going down it, great, but I had to go back up it to get home!

Like Fred said, the first one sure does look inviting . . . almost magical. Glad I don't have to ride up that hill. I like the composition - very good job.

Both are really nice shots. I like the colors and the composition of the first one.
