My first macro attempt ... just bought a Sigma 105/2.8 and that's what came
out of it

That is simply too wonderful! Indeed, three dancers in the Corps de Ballet. Good first macro attempt. Did you get addicted? Most do, you know.

What a wonderfully creative Idea! You will enjoy that Macro lens, I have the same lens and use it with my Canon 40D; I love it when used in conjunction with the Canon MT-24 macro twin flash (or any other ring flash), it's a wonderful Macro lens. I just bought a set of extension tubes to use with it as well, although I have not received them yet.
I use mine almost exclusively in the manual mode as I find the Auto Focus a bit too slow and finicky for macro work. But I love the lens.

@Lindyanna: yes, I'm getting to like this kind of photography more and more ...
@Chewys: I've also noticed the slow auto focus first but I understand this is common for all macro lenses
(some technological limitation I suppose) ...
