Lori, these are gorgeous. You have very handsome sons. Great job! I want so bad to start taking some portrait shots, but I have to work on getting a lens. I have started my subtle hinting process, and with lose the subtle part shortly.

These are great. I'm wondering if it's the psychological pairing of old and weathered with young and new that helps make the marriage of your boys and the setting so terrific. Certainly, the colors are rich and the lighting--natural lighting (ahem)--combine beautifully as well. Were you thinking of future photo shoots in this location? If so, here's my "yes" vote. PS What dashingly handsome boys!

Wow Lori, you have two excellent models there. Morgan and Tyler are so natural. Love the attitude and the camera angle in the second one works so well. Great work Lori and so professional.

Dave.

Thank you Allyson. Start practicing your portraits with the lens you have now. Especially with natural light and a reflector, you shouldn't have any problems.

Thank you so much Lindy...yes, this was natural lighting at a location not too far from the spot that you recalled in your anniversary post (thank you for your wonderful words)

Thank you Dave. Posing is the hardest part for me so I start to tell them to do their own thing and we'll see what happens.

Nice shots Lori, but the boys looked a little "cranky!" If they're anything like my son, between his Mom and me, he's about sick of having a camera in his face, and it's like pulling teeth to get him to pose. All that said, you did a beautiful job...my fav is the angled shot.

Allyson, what's wrong with the lens you have..? An 18-70 is a great all around lens for portraits

Thank you Angel, Vinnie and Patrick. Vinnie, in that first shot, it was actually the last one of the day and they were complaining because of the stench within the doorways, I think that's what gave them the sour faces. Overall, they are good about going out to shoot with me, I just have to feed them .
