They sure seem to be everywhere.....and I wouldn't get too close either. Sometimes the opportunities just present themselves and we have to take advantage of it. Nice work.

Apparently so did the bee. It doesn't look like he paid you any mind at all. Nice job! And, while the bee is very cool, can I just say how much I also love your Gladiolas. What a beautiful orange sherbert color!

Thank you for taking the time to look and leave comments. These bumble bees are large and so beautiful. They really are quite docile when left to find their way through the flowers. I didn't bother them and they didn't bother me. I'm looking forward to repeating this shoot to see if I can improve after reviewing the images from this round.

Lindy, I love cannas too. Thank you for noticing them. This is a shot of the just the flower that I like a lot. I regretted not "dead-heading" them before finding the bees. Once they were there, it was too late to do anything about it. The yellow ones are as beautiful as the orange ones this year. I hope you will like these too.

Oh, yes, indeedy I like them! I just love the faint yellow around the edges of the orange blooms--Gladiolas, I presume. And, Oh, my goodness, look at the bee and the butterfly on the yellow blooms--with orange spots. I bet you just about got lost in all the color, fragrance and insect wildness!
