Default F-18 Vapor Cone

F-18 Super Hornet Vapor Cone

This is a F-18 Superhornet at an air show in Battle Creek, MI this past weekend. The vapor cone forms when the jet is just about to break the sound barrier. It was my first airshow shooting and this one is a bit blurry but it was too cool of a shot to not share (in my opinion).

GH, This whole series is just amazing. The F-16's used to fly over the U of Arizona. I don't think we ever made through a class without being disrupted and having to wait until the noise subsided before continuing a lecture. We only see A-10's these days and they aren't the acrobats these guys are! You sure timed this photo just right!

This is awesome my friend, I know for sure that your timing was spot on. This would grace any aircraft magazine. Wonderful work GH.

Dave.
