Very nice pictures, Windrider. And such a cute little subject, too! Did you use some sort of noise reduction or smooting effect? Although I really like the background on the second one, it seems to take focus away from the subjects. As nice as it is, perhaps a bit of crop would return focus to the subjects?

You're going to make this family very happy! I'm just drawn to this last photo by the light in her eyes, the tilt of her dimpled chin and the flower in her hair. What a darling! Well done!

I thought about that, but the background is Fishers Peak and that was a huge thing for them to have it in thier photos

I had wondered if that was the case... obviously this area has a deep seated significance for them. Either way it's still a lovely shot and if they like it, that's all that really matters, right?

Wind - as always I love your shots. Just curious about getting rid of the black blanket. I would love to see the same shot with them sitting on one of the rocks behind them.

Your focus on faces is just perfect.

That third one should be a WWYD shot Seeing as how I'm thinking along those lines, what if you turned the background into a subtle painting and faded it a little. (Topaz Simplify is what I'm thinking of) and then crisped the humans a bit just so they popped a little more ??

The blanket was a must have. An hour earlier we had a HUGE downpour and the ground was like a lake. Poor folks cause after awhile the backdrop soaked thru.
I had one pose where the dad was on the bottom and his wife and 2 daughters were sitting on him. He was soaked after that one.lol

Hi! the girl is a very cute subject. Did you use a gold reflector here? Her skin tones are very smooth and warm......as for the peak shot, I noticed someone pointing out the background and another pointing out the black blanket. I understand the background thing...the shot was never intended to be a close up portrait but them being placed in a grander setting...As for the blanket, I think I would have canned it and had them sitting right on the grass but the ground might have been wet....who knows? I won't 2nd guess anything! I think they will love the shots you return to them. Now if I had only read the previous post!!!!!!!
