Default Anti-Phobia Shots

I am afraid of heights. But one late afternoon, I asked collegues to take me to a helipad deck. I took these shots with my heart pounding and my hands sweating. Good thing I brought my tripod and used camera timer to avoid camera shake for slow shutter speed and long focal length shots. I was literally on my knees that day. I simply do not now how to get those building to straighten up just as I do not know how to get rid of my fear of heights.

I still plan to go up there again, for arts' sake and to share my photos to you all.

Well isn't it amazing what we do just to take a photograph, Climb tall buildings, face fierce snakes, wild animals, insects of all varieties (you get my drift) your photos are great and look at what you achieved by getting them.

Rick, I applaud your courage. Taking on a fear of anything head on is no fun. You did it though and the images are outstanding buddy. Nice composition, beautiful colors. Probably the best way to staighten the buildings out is in PP.

Hey, Rick, There's an easy way to straighten photos and you can do it from your Flickr account. Just open your photo, double click on edit photo and it will open in Picnik. From the menu, click Rotate. They have a slider that easily straightens photos. It straightens not so good photos and really terrifics ones, like yours!

A shot to prevent phobias? I think I'd be afraid to take it.

I guess I really need to learn more about post production as it is part of digital photography. Thanks, Fred.

Perhaps 2-3 more climbs to that deck and I am phobia free. I am happy you liked the photos.

I will take your advice. I have a number of buildings that need vertical adjustments. Thanks a lot.

I guess this is my 500th post and I am happy to be thanking all of you for being so nice at DPS.

I guess , i should put it this way: the shots are against people with phobias like me. LOL

BTW This was the best I could do with the slider tool in flickr.

You're braver than I would be. When it comes to heights I just have to look at someone else's shots. Awesome pics.
