Well you got the poses spot on but the first is too dark however the rest I like loads just shame first dark really as for the high sun use a diffuser off camera or try not to shoot mid-day overall nice shots. they have some great tutorials in here about this typs of thing read em you will learn loads more, I know I have being here as have many .. look forward to seeing more

I'm far from an expert at any of this, but I like the colours in the last 2, like the reflection in the sunglasses in the second one but think it could be brightened up a bit along with the top one. They all look very serious...would like to see some smiles too You could probably try a filter in photoshop or select the area on your son's head where the sun is and play with settings a little maybe? Sorry, not much help on that one.

I think you could do with a little more light in the face, but you're certainly on the right track. I'm not so much a fan of softening people in photos (excuse me if that's not what you've done) .... Just one little thing to keep in mind - to get the best feedback, try popping a shot over in Critique. People are good at giving feedback, but no so much here in Share your Shots. Hope that helps.

thanks for all the great comments..i don't soften all the photos, just trying to learn how to do it..lol..but they come out dark. i guess it just takes pratice and time

thre last one looks the most professional, although you may want to keep bright patches of sun off the persons faces.
