I added that panorama just to show what the tiny planet was constructed from. It's a full 360 degree panorama.

I looked at this last night, but couldn't quite figure it out....of course I was just back from a very long and tiring trip, so I hope you'll excuse that. It's a really interesting shot...I wouldn't have a clue how to do that, but I find it fascinating.

Just google "tiny planet" and "create". There are websites that show the process in Gimp and in Photoshop.

I have thought about doing a 360 degree panorama inside an arena, and then seeing what kind of planet I might be able to produce from that.

Is this where I mention that doing this kind of thing stereographically with equirectangulars (360°x180° panos) makes it a whole lot more fun? (well for masochists who really like to stitch photos
