For the great blue heron shot, you did a great job managing the light. And a special moment, too. Well done!

For the little blue heron shot, can you identify those roots? They remind me of mangrove roots that we have here in Florida.

Yeap they are mangrove roots, the back of the beach was full of them.

When I was lining up a shot of the blue heron I was just about to reposition myself to the other side so the light would be better but then all of a sudden it speared a fish I almost dropped my camera but I managed to get a few shots in
