Default Sunrise at the Lake - my first attempt

This past weekend I've been camping with family and friends at Big Whiteshell Lake in Manitoba, Canada. I decided to try shooting some sunrise photos for the very first time. Here are three of my favorites:

#1
Camera: Sony DSLR-A200

Focal Length: 26 mm

a feast for the eyes .. wow - just stunning colors .. composition is great on all 3images .. are you sure you haven't done this before? .. very well photographed

Nice work all but my favorite is the 1st with the reeds in the forgroun and great color and focus

Yes, I'm sure I haven't done this before :-) That is why it took me quite some time to set up as I was very concious about the compisition. I'm very happy how they turned out. Thank you for the comments.

My favorite is also #1

WOW !!! They are all gorgeous shots !
I think they'd look amazing printed on canvas and hung on the wall

Great shots - I really like the 1st one but the other two are also superb. Must try and get up early myself and try this sort of thing. Cheers, Bernz

Early bird! Yes, it was very early in the morning, and since we were camping at the time, I never went to bed that night :-). I was sitting with my friends at the campfire and noticed that the sun was about to rise so I set up my camera by the lake and started shooting. After that I went fishing and ended up going to bed around 7:00am
Good times!
