Default Panning with the new D90!

Hey, Picked up a D90 last weekend before 4th of July. Love everything about it so far. my car broke down on the way to Cape Cod, MA so I was stuck in a rest stop. Well I figured id try to catch some cars flying by (about 50-60 mph eekkk) Well I think it really worked out with this one, my first shot. I figured id share.

Too bad it's a van haha.

Great panning, the car is very sharp.

When I tried this technique myself it must have taken me 50 shots before I got anything anywhere near as sharp as this, although I was trying to photograph porsches going at almost 180 mph

What was your shutter speed for this? I still haven't been able to get anything resembling a nice panning shot.

Thanks everyone for the comments, The D90 is a great camera. I'm enjoying it...

Anyways, My speed wasn't very slow but the car was also going around 50-60 mph so it probably wouldn't be the same unless you do something similar.
