Default More finds at the Winchester Walking Trail

After wetting down the bumblebee for my own humor, I jaunted out a little ways to see what was laying around.....It was high noon and HOT! This first is a new, just about to bloom, prickly thistle.

A cooperative ladybug

Take another look, the point of this photo is the faint butterfly in the background.....It never stopped flitting around......never settled on anything.....just happened to catch it in it's dance.....being out of focus gave it an unusual appearance so I thought that I would share

Nice set Patrick! I'm glad you found a cooperative ladybug. Most of the ones I find are going 90 miles an hour and tough to photograph. I think the last one is interesting. At first I thought it was a flower and then when I looked closer, I noticed it was the soft image of a butterfly--very interesting!

Stunning close ups Patrick, excellent work, even the slightly off focus butterfly maintains interest, and I'm glad you didn't spray it
