Default Alaska in Bloom

Passion in Bloom

Took a hike to the river on the 4th weekend and this is what i saw. A large area of Dwarf Fireweed makes up this colorful display of rugged peaks of the Chugach Range.

What a lovely way to start a morning! Fireweed instead of fireworks? At least in the context of the 4th, this is a beautful display. BTW Butter Toffee Coffee and lavender flowers go well together.

Wow, I love fireweed when it's blooming. Such a gorgeous plant and you have really done a fine job capturing the scenery. Great image!
