Default King for a day

This specimen belongs to my neighbor. I found that it is a Echinopsis eyriesii, aka: Pink Easter Lily Cactus. I am told that it rearly blooms, about once every 5 years or so.
This particular beauty was open only for a day!
In contrast to the cactus body, the color tones as well as the shape of the flower are delicate and amazing from everywhere you look..

Ahhhh lindyannajones fever has hit flavio. Anyone who has attended Lindy's great desert class will appreciate the beauty of this gorgeous flower. Very nice work flavio and a nice caprture and just in the nick of time.

Thanks Dave!
I was not aware that Lindy has a thing for cactus and desert life forms.
Last year I payed a visit to a cactus nursery. It is more like a museum. They have a huge variety of cacti. I took many pictures of back then, may be I'll post some from the archive.

Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you were there to catch such a rare event, or otherwise I might not have been able to see it, and I'm glad that you photographed it so well, too because then I can both see it and enjoy it! Well done!♠
