Default The Caterpillar That Roared

We were sitting outside yesterday when this guy decided to make an appearance. It is one of the most interesting looking bugs I have ever seen. I looked it up and it is a Vapourer Moth Caterpillar. According to what I was reading, this really bizarre caterpillar turns into a very plain and boring moth. Which I find quite hard to believe.

This is the whole thing. It's like nature couldn't figure out what it should do with the one
whole caterpillar

It seemed a bit indignant that I wanted it's picture and had my camera so close to his face.

Thats neat. I like the close up. Mine seem not to turn out as good. Funny how nature does things.

We were not quite sure if the thing was a mutant or not. I had to look it up to see if it was supposed to look like that. It was!

He was not staying still... you should see how many with blurred movement I had to take to get to this one
