Default 4th July Fireworks

As every year, the whole family goes to a local waterfront park to celebrate Independence Day.
This year I made sure I read the tips on DFS on how to photograph fireworks properly, so the pictures came out a little bit better than last year.

Here they are

these are amazing, really lucky you got a spot so close to the water! i don't know if i would dare get that close at the "symphony of fire" here in vancouver, it gets soooooo hectic downtown vancouver that i would be afraid of my tripod getting knocked over.

good on you, those shots are beautiful!

Thank you!

We got there almost 4 hours before the fireworks started, so I could get a good spot. It paid off.
My biggest challenge was figuring out the right focusing. I should have done it before it got too dark but I started taking picts of my kids and by the time the firework began it was completely dark, so I had to manually focus the lens in the dark. The pictures did not came out as sharp as I would have liked it, especially when you zoom in, you can see the fireworks kind of blurry

Absolutely beautiful, so delicate. The colors are fascinating. You get an A+ at fireworks shooting. Good work!
And thanks for sharing.
