Chapter 2 in the life of a baby crow, or fledgling as he is called. We saw Mom swoop down and feed him today, so I was feeling a lot better about things, until Mom and Dad decided it was time to move him across the street into the almond orchard. Wish these were better, but the lighting was difficult and I'm still learning.
Here is Mom and Dad, I am guessing Mom is the one yelling, LOL. ![]() Get away from my kid, please. ![]() And here is Junior, in his new surroundings. See how his wing feathers are not all there yet. ![]() Get away now, can't you see I'm hiding ?? ![]() Well, he made it across the street and into the orchard, so he'll be safe for the weekend, but we may have to hunt him down Monday morning and bring him back here if they decide to spray, mow or irrigate. So the saga continues. I would like to take a moment to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July weekend.

Hi Mom, I love seeing the whole family together and working things out. I hope he makes it in the end. He looks so close to being ready to be on his own. He is like a teenager. Glad Mom is feeding him and looking after him. She looks quite passionate about protecting him. Pics should tell a story and yours certainly do that. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the next installment. See you later today so we can shoot some fireworks and enjoy the day together. Love you!
