Default an early showing of fireworks in a rural town

In all reality, I saw about 1 minute of fireworks as part of the grand finale as I just could not get out of work in time to make it...Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow so I may not make the larger displays....plus I have to close the store tomorrow too.....we'll see what happens. I shot these at f-14 and some at 1.3 sec, 1.6 and 2 sec.....not sure which ones apply to which photo...note that these are grand finale style short bursts with alot of light....I missed all of the solitary rockets with their trails etc which would have required probably 3 sec exposure. I had no time to set up a tripod as I jumped out of the car on the side of the bypass and went around to the other side of my car and basically stood up leaning against the passenger door and laid my left arm on the roof of the car and used it as my rest for the camera barrel and basically went single handed with the camera body resting on the top of the car. I believe I was shooting at 27mm. Hope you all enjoy a preview to what I am sure will be a flood of shots tomorrow evening!

I would never have guessed that you never used a tripod Patrick. You did an excellent job. The colours are stunning. and they look really sharp. You have a steady hand my friend. Mine would have looked like an abstract. Great work buddy.

Dave.
