Default Emerging dragonfly
I'm a total beginner still on auto mod on my new SONY HX1 but I was thrilled to catch this dragonfly emerging. It was hanging from the bottom log on our sauna - not an easy place to shoot. Just when it was out and I was thrilled to think I could shoot the drying and unfolding wings it flipped and fell through a crack under the deck and disappeared.

How great is that to see it happening and get to photograph it as well?
