We were awakened this morning by some crows literally screaming outside our bedroom window. So out we went to see what all this racket was about and this is what we found
![]() A baby crow, actually a fledgling. Guess he jumped a little too soon. I called wildlife rescue, but because this is just a baby crow they don't care, had he been a raptor or something they would have taken him in. I thought this was pretty cruel, didn't know there was prejudice on birds. The cats were all very interested. But I did some research, found were to put him so he should be safe and mom should come back to his crys, if not I guess I'll be feeding a crow.

Well I suppose "feeding a crow" is better than "eating crow" LOL
And for those of you out of the USA I don't know if you understand we have a saying "eat crow" that is an English-language idiom meaning humiliation by admitting wrongness or having been proven wrong after taking a strong position.

Nice shot. It was very nice of you to take care of that poor little baby. I do hope its mom would find it again. Feeding and taking care of a baby crow isn't an easy job i suppose hehe. good luck with it.

Poor little guy. He is probably wondering "what the heck happened?" I sure wish him luck in getting re-established in his nest!

I've helped a lot of baby birds in my life, but have never seen a baby crow. I am sorry about the wildlife rescue, I know you can turn them over here if necessary. Nice shot of him/her.

Hi Mom, that is excitement for sure. He/she is so cute! I know it's "just a crow" but he/she is a living creature and I hope he makes it! Keep us posted as to his progress.
