Default What happens when horses don't cooperate

What follows is a fairly common occurrence....Sometimes at lunch, I'll try to swing by a horse farm and see if the horses are fairly close but not right on the fence line and also not way out in the field. Yesterday, they were right on the inside fence line about 5 feet inside the outer fence.....so it's almost impossible to get a good shot of them, especially the foals. So when this happens, I don't have much time to drive around looking for other items of interest, so I snap on the macro lens and just stay there and look alongside the roadside for anything of interest. The first shot is of something.....It's obviously a plant but I have no earthly idea what kind it is! The last three are of a dandelion that I blew a part of away......my contribution to the furtherance of this weed in the nearby field......do I have to go to jail for that? I am approaching photographer's block not knowing what to shoot next that would hold anyone's interest given my limited time and locale.....Hope you enjoy these while I try to figure out what in the world to shoot next!

Love the first shot Patrick, very impressive with the green and pink. I know exactly what you are talking about, What do I shot next? I guess you would call it photographers block.
There is no doubt that there are many things, children, ducks, flowers (horses) but something different that is hard. I've been doing a lot of playing lately with colours and shapes but you haven't seen many here, that must tell you something.

Yes I know that feeling all too well......I have a number of shots sitting on the hard drive for whatever reason but they don't strike me as shots that would interest anyone.....I also have more flower shots but I am almost loathe to post anymore due to quantity of quality shots already posted here. I would really love to try my hand at the upcoming fireworks but don't know if I will be out of work in time....sniff

Well whatever the first shot is of, its very nice, but I do love the dandelions. I particularly like the 2nd shot.
I think all of us sometimes come up at a loss, I personally got lucky and had a baby crow jump out of his nest and land in my yard. The Mom did a great job of announcing this at dawn. So, I guess I have something to post, hopefully it will be of interest, since he literally fell at my feet. Your posts are always interesting.

I like the first shot. Beautiful colors. The 3rd image is also gorgeous. Maybe a theme per day would help you choose what kind of shots to do. I have always wanted to try that but I haven't still because of my busy work. Thanks for sharing Patrick!

Did I miss something? You got the macro lens and you're no longer needing to borrow your friends lens? Sweet. Dandelions are always a dandy subject. These are beautifully photographed. I love the way they look like floating stars. Can't wait to see what you find for inspiration.

the macro shots are brilliant patrick..

n i think i know what u mean about photographer's block, althogh maybe i shouldn't ( cuz i've just started photographing and barely clicked a handful of photographs. ). anyways, most of the time i also end up hunting in vain for things to photograph.. somehow photographing flowers, as beautiful as they are, and even more beautifully as they are portrayed on this forum, does not really interest me too much..

hopefully, i find something.. hopefully we all do..

Patrick my friend that first one is amazing. Love the colour and the contrast from that lovely background is excellent. Great detail in the dandelion too. I love the angle of the shot. You will never go go jail with pictures like this buddy. The horses can wait. These are brilliant.

Dave.
