How dissapointed am I???
On holiday last week on the South Coast of England we visited West Witterings beach. After a bit of sun bathing I set my camera up and composed a shot I liked, then sat and waited for the perfect moment to shoot. The sky was a brilliant blue and there were a few clouds and I really wanted to get a perfect shot. Anyway, the moment came, I got exactly what I was waiting for. A quick check in the lcd, yep, looking good. So I get home this week and load my pics into lightroom 2, start cropping, fine tuning etc and I come across the beach photo I took, got the colour just right, no cropping needed then I noticed it... I left the ISO at 800 from a night shoot I I'd been doing the night before I now I have a fair bit of noise in the blue sky. I've tried reducing the noise but it loses too much detail in the reeds and sand. I've tried masking the ground off which is better but I then lose the details in the clouds. Anyway, here it is and I'm still pretty pleased with it. I learnt my lesson though, always double check all settings before shooting...
