Default Fireworks Festival - Montreal

These are some of the shots of the fireworks performed by england last saturday here in montreal.. There was no wind and so had a lot of smoke after the first 5 or 10 min. However, I do like the way they turned out. More of the shots on my flickr page.

Love the setting with the bridge and the tower in the background.

I shot some fireworks pics this past weekend and I wish I had some place to set up with a nice backdrop like you had. All I had was a ballfield with power lines in the foreground. (took forever to PP some of them out)

Very nice. I'm looking forward to trying for some of the Canada fireworks tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have a little more wind than you did.

Thanks for sharing.

I like the way you used the lit bridge to accent the fireworks.

Tried a different setting earlier weekend.. but then tried this one today.. and I was amazed at how beautiful they came out to be..

Beautiful!! I really love the first one. The smoke makes it look as though the fireworks are coming out of clouds. Great Work!!

Exactly my thoughts.. When I was taking the pictures.. I thought the smoke would destroy the fun of all the fireworks.. but once home and seen on a computer.. I was amazed..

Not really.. I used manual exposure and shot in raw. Made some exposure adjustments later in Lightroom.
