I like the lighting effects here. Did you use a flash?

I did use a flash...a slave 580 EX II controlled by another 580 EX II on the body. Otherwise , the room was dark.

Awesome capture, and is that a heart shaped strainer?? bloody cool!!! as a gift of course, i prefer my tea cooked with the leaves instead of straining them.. but love this pic..

Thank you. I am just starting to experiment a lot with lighting and flash. Its like learning a whole new discipline!

It is a heart shaped strainer. I had never needed one until I bought some Roiboos recently. Ive been more of a pre-bagged guy for most of my life.

Thank you. I used an Overlay blend on a duplicated layer in CS3 to help with the contrast.
